Palmer Court

999 South Main Street Salt Lake City, UT

Located on South Main Street in Salt Lake City, Palmer Court is a wonderful facility which allows families and individuals to emerge from homelessness.  The building, which was formerly a large Holiday Inn, is a 201 unit facility comprised of fully furnished studio, one and two bedroom affordable housing apartments equipped with kitchens and bathrooms. The apartments are managed by The Road Home and include common areas such as an exercise room, two libraries, computer rooms, game rooms, large foyer and seven laundry rooms.  The outdoor areas feature a playground (children makeup a sizeable portion of Utah=s homeless) and two basketball courts.  There is also a day care center and rentable space for a restaurant and convenience store.  With bicycles the highest probable mode of transportation for residents, covered bicycle parking for 200 bikes is included.  Finally, the facility houses Road Home administrative offices and counseling staff to enhance the transition from living on the streets to having a home.
