Every project starts as a dream. The next step is deciding what type of delivery method is best suited to bring that dream to fruition. At Kier Construction, we pride ourselves on the variety of deliver methods we have to offer. The specfic demands of the project will determine what type of delivery system is recommended.
Construction Management/General Contractor (CMGC)
Our knowledge of the CMGC delivery method is unequaled in our industry and allows us to bring added value to every stage of your project. We have utilized this delivery method for over 20 years and complete approximately 60% of our annual revenues using the CMGC format. Our capabilities with regard to conceptual budgeting, budget control, value engineering and project management are known industry wide. Our many return clients attest to this by utilizing our services and this delivery method time and time again.
The CMGC delivery method allows Kier to team with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors early in the pre-construction/design process. At each stage of the project, we work to maintain an environment where the entire team may collaborate openly . As a result, we produce a project management team that fully understands the demands of the project prior to commencement of construction.
Design Build
The Design Build delivery method simplifies the process by assembling all disciplines necessary to design and construct your project under one contract. Kier has active relationships with many reputable design professionals with design build experience. In the design build role, Kier will be in a position to monitor all phases of the project, ensuring that design goals are achieved, budgets are maintained, and schedules are met by the entire design build team.
Competitive Bid/Lump Sum
Since cost is usually the determining factor in selecting a "competitive-bid" contractor, Kier's team of estimators utilize advanced estimating software that allows us to provide quick and accurate cost estimates. Kier will review your completed construction drawings and specifications, and provide you with a single-entry amount (lump sum) to cover all labor, equipment, materials, services, overhead, and profit to complete your project. We participate in competitive bids that are exclusive to a small group of pre-qualfiied contractors.
